Mel's Take! 5/26/2019

Back again, world!  Your Marvelous Melinda Braddock is here yet again to give you my take on what's going down in the world of professional wrestling!  And how can I not start out with Taking Hold of the Flame?  It's gonna be freaking awesome, I can tell you that much.  But hows about we start with some predictions, shaaaalll we?

Max Kane will defeat Dante McCaffeine, Scarlet Grey's Anatomy, and Lucy Sixx (sorry, ran out of creativity).

Adam Allocco will defeat John Goddard.  Goddard is old.  Adam is a world champion.  Need I say more?

Alexis Quinne will defeat Tommy Valentine and Casterillo.  Alright, first thing is first; my mom ran that buffoon Casterillo away from SCW once.  Does she really have to do so again?  Go away, Casterillo!  No one likes you!  Tommy is good and is on a bit of a roll but I like Quinne to edge this.

Truelove Twins vs Redemption is a hard call to make.  Trueloves gotta be considered a super favorite.  They totes have the chemistry down and we know both of them will, like, SHOW UP!  We're not even sure James Evans will show up.  But then again, Angelica has tons of support from the SCW roster; her daughters Kim and Marie, or even my mom, Angelica's cousin Glory Braddock.  If Angelica can get the right partner, or ANY partner for that matter, I may change my pick.  Otherwise I go with Trueloves.

Sienna Swann against Syren, finally, one on one, for the UNDISPTUED World Title.  Sienna is gonna win it and she will win it FOR THE PEOPLE!

Finally there's Taking Hold of the Flame.  My mom is soooooo gonna kill me (though I don't care) but I can't pick her.  Conflict of interest!  Duh!  Ok, to be fair to mom, maybe I'll put her as a good shot at second or third place.  But runner up gets nothing!  So who cares?  Your winner is gonna be Andrew Raynes.

I asked this question last night over twitter, but NO ONE answered: Can anyone explain the whole Wonderland nonsense to me?  Helllloooo?

Now, as far as GCW news is concerned; my mom is back in charge of Global Championship Wrestling!  Y'know, we haven't seen eye to eye lately, but my I'm happy for my mom.  A Van Stanton ended the wrestling career of my grandfather Glenn Braddock.  So to see my mom defeating Henry and Mason Van Stanton to get ownership of GCW back was sooooo totes awesome!  Next thing on the horizon is the GCW Draft Show and I hear that there's some new names and fresh faces on the horizon.  So stay tuned for that.

In random news, if there's gonna be a Miss America running around, there needs to be a Miss Britain.  Just saying...

1. Brotherhood of Sith - they competed on nights one and three of GCW Resurrection!

2. Regan Street

3. Minerva - new GCW World Champion.  DUH!

4. Timothy Myers - helped my mom, so props to him.

5. Bree Lancaster

7. Giovanni Aries - he's crazy as hell but he DID win the SCW US Title.

8. Glory Braddock

9. Selena Frost - she suffered a nasty fall but still came back for more

Mel's Take! 4/27/2019

Hello world! *waves furiously* "Marvelous" Melinda here!  And yes, I am Marvelous, but that's also gonna totes be my ring nickname when I break into professional wrestling, because whether mom likes it or not, I will follow in her footsteps.

Why would the best wrestler in the world not her beautiful daughter to follow in her footsteps and continue the family line?  Don't make sense to me, either.  Grandpa was Britain's Best.  He was a heck of a wrestler.  He passed on his knowledge to mom, who is The Best in the World.  And now I want to follow suit.

Let's see, grandpa was best only of Britain.  Mom was best of the whole world.  Based on the pattern I'd totes be best in the entire universe!  Then again, what doofus would create a universal championship?  Seriously.

Not gonna get into the whole sordid details of it all, but she won't let me train.  She won't even allow me to approach other wrestling schools.  Doesn't Amy Chastaine have school?  Sure, but that's off limits too.  But don't worry, folks, you'll see your gal Mel in the ring eventually!

I do love mom.  I just question some of her decisions, that's all. *looking at you Aphrodite*

Speaking of mom, an update on her because that whole stuff on GCW Livewire really did give us a bit of a scare.  She's getting a second opinion but GCW's own doctors diagnosed a very mild concussion at the hands of Brotherhood of Jedi...Sith...whatevs.

Now I want to get one thing  out of the way; yes, Raynes is a bully.  No, I don't like what he did to my mom.  But is he one of the best in GCW right now? Absolutely.  He backs up everything he says.  Mel's Smart Money says place your bets on him repeating what old Harker did last year and win two matches in two nights of Resurrection.

Only he'll do it with more style.
